بَيت كَبير

Word order

The adjective comes after the noun, not before it

English puts the adjective first — "a big house". Arabic puts it second, straight after the noun: "بَيت كَبير", house big.

Phrases

That's the order every time, however many words you add.

"كَبيرة" and "طَوِيلة" have the ة on them because the nouns in front of them are feminine. The adjective always matches its noun — that's the next lesson.
