الوَلَد الطَوِيل

Matching ال

Both words take ال, or neither does

An adjective matches its noun in definiteness as well as in gender. If the noun has "ال" on it, the adjective needs "ال" too.

The existence of ال changes the meaning from indefinite to definite.
