لَو
Unreal conditions - لو
Hypothetical and impossible conditions with لو
"لَو" is the other half of the conditional system, and it is the one for things that are not going to happen. If I were rich. If you had told me. If I were you.
Both halves of a "لَو" sentence go in the past tense, and the second half normally takes "كان" in front of it. That "كان" is what carries the "would".
