اعْتَذَر

Sorry and forgiven

Apologising properly, and letting someone off

"آسِف" covers small apologies. When the thing is bigger than that, you need these.

"اعْتَذَر" is the verb for offering an apology, and it takes "مِن" for the person. "سامَح" is the other side of it, forgiving someone. "مِتحَسِر" is the feeling left over afterwards.
