The fee covers accommodation, tuition, and transportation to and from Beirut or Amman by car or bus. We will arrange the taxi or bus service for you.
When do the courses begin
The courses run for four weeks, starting at the beginning of each month.
How long is the course?
The course runs for 1 month, with classes held 4 days a week, 4 hours per day. We will be hosting courses in May, June, July, and August.
Where will we be staying?
Accommodation is provided and included in the program fee. The accommodation is a traditional-style home in the old city of Damascus is the historic city centre of Damascus, Syria. Details will be shared upon registration via WhatsApp.
Are the classes group or private?
Itβs a small group setting to ensure personalized attention and a more immersive experience. Groups of students will be determined based on language level.
Do I need a visa?
Syria currently has a free visa on arrival system. So you dont need to do anything before you come!
Is it safe?
Thankfully Syria is more and more stable every day, and inside Damascus you will probably feel its calmer and safer than your own capital city!

What level of Arabic is required to join?
All levels are welcome to join. We do ask that if you are a beginner, familiarize yourself with the Arabic alphabet prior to coming. We will send you all the resources you need to get yourself up to speed. Upon registration, you will complete a brief level assessment.
What kind of transport is included?
We cover your transportation to and from Damascus, either via Beirut or Amman via a private or shared taxi service or coach bus.
What kind of visa or travel documents do I need?
You will need to present a valid passport at the border to enter Syria. We will work with participants to ensure they have the proper travel documents ready.
What is the daily schedule like?
Classes are held 4 hours a day, 4 days a week, with time left for cultural activities, exploring the city, or personal study. The classes are divided into a 2 hour morning session with an hour break before a 2 hour afternoon session.
Are meals included?
Meals are not included in the fee, but we provide guidance on where to eat affordably and safely in Damascus. The accommodation also provides a fully equipped shared kitchen.
